Second Quarter-Century Campaign
In early 2009 the board of the Music Guild established a series of goals that we would work toward with the hope of achieving by the end of our 25th anniversary season (June, 2011). Little did we know that shortly after announcing these goals, a financial crisis would tear through the economy and severely reduce charitable giving to virtually every arts organization in the country. Thanks to our loyal subscribers, the Music Guild continues to flourish and our Second Quarter-Century goals remain the same. Please consider helping us meet our goals for the next Quarter-Century of the Music Guild.
What we want to do
- Develop music outreach programs such as an Annual Concerto
Competition and an Annual Composition Competition for young performers
and composers in the Westside area
- Reach out to low-income seniors and those with transportation
issues to assist them in attending Music Guild concerts
- Increase our advertising and marketing budgets in order to increase
walk-in patrons by 50% and Music Guild subscribers by 25% in the next
two years
- Hire a part-time staff person to help coordinate Music Guild programs
and activities and provide support with office administration, development,
marketing and subscriber services
- Continue to engage the best musicians for The Chamber Orchestra at St. Matthew's
- Continue to present first-class guest ensembles and soloists
What we need you to do
From all of us at St. Matthew’s Music Guild, thank you for your
support!
